Ione is standing in her mother Nellie's nasturtium flower garden below the family home at 36 Park Avenue. The retaining wall, constructed of Los Gatos Creek stones, was one of many that encompassed the large grounds of the Shore family property on Park Avenue. The family's Victorian home was built by Ione's grandfather W. C. Shore as a wedding gift for Junius Dalton (Dick) Shore and Nellie Taylor, who were married in 1897 in the Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Gatos. Ione was the couple's third child and married Duane Muth. They had one child, Nelma Ray Muth. Ione had one sister, Wanda, and two brothers, Melville and Lisle. SHU001
