Melville Dalton Shore & Gladys Kyle Shore, (with "Chaquita," Gladys' pet bull dog), are seated on the steps of the Kyle family home at 127 N. Santa Cruz Ave., Los Gatos. Gladys' mother, Susie M. Walker Kyle, stands in the background clad in her "morning attire," with an apron, dress and dust cap covering her hair. As was customary at the time, Susie would finish her chores and then change clothes for the afternoon. SHU139
