During the early 1950s, Walt Disney (right)visited a number of parks to gather ideas for Disneyland, which opened in Anaheim in 1955. He was sure of one thing: He wanted a train to encircle his park. Disney stopped by Los Gatos to see Billy Jones' Wildcat Railroad, a narrow-gauge steam operation, and the two men became friends. They are seen here on the Jones ranch. JON123
