AVP: Alien Vs. Predator (2004) Scar's (Ian Whyte) Predator Costume DisplayEntry/Object ID
OAPS1Description
Scar's (Ian Whyte) Predator costume on display from Paul W.S. Anderson's AVP: Alien vs. Predator. The Scar Predator was the last survivor of the band of young Predators sent to Earth to prove themselves in the Antarctic pyramid.
Created by the artists at Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. (ADI), this costume consists of a silver-color fiberglass helmet; a foam latex undersuit with foam dreadlocks on a foam latex cowl with a hole cut out for the performer's face; a foam latex neck seal with plastic ring accents; a netted bodysuit; silver-color armor made of foam, rubber, and fiberglass; and a faux-leather loincloth. The bodysuit suit is finished with hand-painted reptilian markings. The computer worn on the left wrist is made of rubber and resin, while the right side armor contains extended resin blades. Rubber skulls and hard rubber pouches adorn the display, as well as an assortment of weapons, including a rubber shuriken in its closed position, a rubber dagger handle in a leg sheath, a closed Combistick on the back, and fitted on the left shoulder is a rubber plasma caster weapon. Production intentionally distressed this costume to appear aged by battle and it comes mounted on a custom mannequin display. This lot exhibits cracked and crumbling foam latex. Dimensions: 33" x 27" x 82" (84 cm x 68.25 cm x 208.25 cm)
