Conan the Barbarian (TCF, 1982), Arnold Schwarzenegger "Conan" Atlantean Presentation Sword Made from Original Studio Molds under the Supervision of Jody Samson with Custom Display Case. Original hand-made steel Atlantean sword measuring 39" x 7" x 1.5" expertly cast from the original studio molds constructed under the supervision of the original creator, Jody Samson. The crossguard and pommel on either end of the twine wrapped handle are beautifully detailed featuring an aquatic motif with matching oceanic creature figureheads, and crafted to appear as ancient, oxidized brass. The imposing blade features Atlantean etched runes beneath the fuller and has been signed in black ink, "Arnold Schwarzenegger," and engraved, "Jody Samson" on the extended handguard. Also included with the lot is a Daniel Marshall handcrafted display case measuring 43.5" x 10.5" x 5" constructed of American alder wood and featuring a green velvet lining fitted for the Atlantean sword, 2-hinged closure, brass handle, and 2-engraved brass plaques - 1-on the exterior lid reading "Arnold Schwarzenegger" and 1-on the interior lid reading "Sword from Conan the Barbarian 1982". Both the sword and case were personally ordered and commissioned by Schwarzenegger in an extremely limited number to be offered for different charities and fundraising events. An identical "sister" sword and presentation case donated by Schwarzenegger to the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation sold for an astounding $275,000 at the 2016 Foundation Gala in Saint Tropez, France. Displays minimal handling wear with minor imprinting of the sword's handguard and pommel to the velvet lining of the case and minimal oxidation to brass components. Comes with a signed letter of provenance from Daniel Marshall stating the sword was hand-signed in-person by Schwarzenegger on March 2, 2012 at the Hyatt Hotel, Columbus, Ohio.
