Name/Title
Fifth Element, The (1997) Light-Up Police Blaster ShroudEntry/Object ID
OPPS136Description
A light-up police blaster shroud from Luc Besson's The Fifth Element. The NYPD used blasters to try and stop Leeloo (Milla Jovovich) from escaping, resulting in them pulling over Korben Dallas' (Bruce Willis) taxi. Later, the security on Fhloston Paradise used blasters to battle Zorg's (Gary Oldman) henchmen.
Designed to contain a working firearm, this shroud is made of machined aluminum with numbered LED lights built into the left side. It features rubber switches and a movable trigger which activates the lights when pushed. The sides are engraved with "Police Dept 3428-60" and "Police Dept CP-352/NY5."
While much of the paint has worn away from use and time, traces of both gold-color paint (used by police) and blue paint (used by Fhloston security) are present on the receiver. This shroud exhibits scuffing, scratches, and a buildup of grime. Dimensions: 16.5" x 2.75" x 6.25" (42 cm x 7 cm x 15.5 cm)
