OPPS38Description
Pair of gladiator helmets from Ridley Scott's historical drama film Gladiator II. Hanno (Paul Mescal) fought both with and against other gladiators in the Colosseum. Included in this lot are two gladiator helmets, one made of hard rubber, one made of resin. Both have been painted to appear metallic, one silver-coloured and one gold-coloured. Both helmets have been finished to look tarnished and battle-worn. The golden helmet is Murmillo-style, and features a gryphon's head embellishment on the crest, as well as dolphin details on either side of a woman's face moulded into the skull. The silver is Secutor-style. A piece of tape on the inside of the silver helmet has "CALLUM" handwritten on it, and a piece of tape inside the gold helmet reads "SHH IVAILO".Use
