OPPS148Description
Albus Dumbledore's (Michael Gambon) Elder Wand from the Harry Potter film series. Known as the most powerful wand ever created, the Elder Wand was one of the three legendary Deathly Hallows and a central artifact in the overarching narrative of the series. According to wizarding lore, the wand could only be mastered by defeating its previous owner, making it both a symbol of ultimate power and a dangerous object of obsession. It was wielded at key moments by Dumbledore, Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes), and ultimately Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), who famously chose to return the wand to Dumbledore's tomb, rejecting its corrupting influence.
Its immense significance made it a coveted prize in the final chapters of the saga. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Voldemort desecrated Dumbledore's grave in a desperate attempt to claim its power and shift the tide of war. Yet despite its destructive potential, the wand came to embody deeper themes of destiny, sacrifice, and the rejection of absolute power - crucial to the resolution of the series' moral arc.
Harry Potter is the fourth-highest-grossing film series of all time, earning $7.7 billion in global box office receipts. The American Film Institute honored the franchise with a Special Award in 2011, recognizing its enduring impact on cinematic storytelling. Across eight films, the series received 12 Academy Award® nominations, with the Elder Wand playing a prominent visual and narrative role in several of the most pivotal scenes.
This Elder Wand is made of resin and painted in various shades of brown and black to resemble aged wood.
