CAFH2Description
Masters of the Universe He-Man AFA 70+ (Mattel, 1983). The most powerful man in the universe made his debut in 1982 with Mattel's Masters of the Universe toy line, becoming one of the most enduring pop culture icons of the 1980s. This example hails from the early 1983 Series 1 "12-back" assortment, featuring the expanded character lineup on the cardback-an evolution from the original 8-back cards released the previous year. It also lacks the Mattel proof-of-purchase (P.O.P.) emblem, identifying it as an earlier version within the 12-back run and a priority for collectors pursuing production variations of the original wave. Graded AFA 70+ (EX+), with subgrades of C70 B75 F85. An important early release from the line that defined an era.Use
