Description
Elizabeth Swann's (Keira Knightley) screen-matched cursed Aztec medallion necklace from Gore Verbinski's Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Young Elizabeth Swann (Lucinda Dryzek) stole young Will Turner's (Dylan Smith) necklace, resulting years later in their both being hunted by Captain Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) and the crew of the Black Pearl to help release them from the ancient Aztec curse placed upon its gold medallion.
Created by legendary propmaker Keir Lusby Props based on a real-world Aztec finial, this gold-color medallion is cast with a skull-and-sun motif on front and a geometric pattern on back. Distinctive reflective patterns and blemishes on the surface of the medallion screen-match to when the older Swann rubbed dust from it after recovering it from the bottom of a drawer after dreaming of the Black Pearl at the start of the film.
It comes looped to a necklace chain with bone-shaped brass links and a hook closure painted gold-color. The necklace is intentionally distressed by production to appear aged and ancient with the skull tarnished to appear dusty. Dimensions: 17" x 1.5" x 0.25" (43.25 cm x 4 cm x 0.75 cm)
