Star Wars (TCF, 1977), "C-3PO" Protocol Droid Display Model. Reproduction display model of the protocol droid, specially commissioned from sculptor Bruce Hansing by the Time Machine Museum of Science Fiction. Measuring 68.5" x 41" x 21" overall, the figure constructed primarily with fiberglass, foam reinforcement to one arm, the figure finished in gold-colored paint with deliberate weathering effects, with small brass and plastic embellishments including to the head and arms. With wiring for light-up effect to the eyes and sound effects, with a small switch visible to the back of the figure. Mounted on a flat base for display purposes. Sculptor Bruce Hansing is renowned for his custom projects recreating iconic figures from across Science Fiction, including Alien Xenomorph sculptures using the original molds.
