OWPS3Description
A collection of deposition transcripts and interviews relating to Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corp.'s lawsuit with MCA, Inc. In 1978, Fox sued MCA - the parent company of Universal Studios - for what the former alleged was copyright infringement of George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope by the pilot episode of Glen A. Larson's Battlestar Galactica, "Saga of a Star World." While the case never went to trial and a settlement was reached in 1983, numerous key figures in the development of both sci-fi classics - including Larson, John Dykstra, Grant McCune, and Charles Lippincott, among many others - were deposed and interviewed during the process.
This collection of paperwork from the case consists of 23 stapled packets of legal paperwork; four Central District of California books; and 20 pages of printed colored concept artwork. This lot exhibits discoloration, tears, and pen markings throughout. Dimensions: (each) 14" x 10" (35.5 cm x 25 cm)Other Names and Numbers
