Description

A life-size replica of a stormtrooper from George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope, created by Sideshow Collectibles. The stormtrooper was one of the most enduring and recurring designs in the Star Wars films, and was originally designed by Ralph McQuarrie and sculpted by Liz Moore. Stormtroopers were part of George Lucas' earliest concepts for Star Wars and played prominently in each film of the original trilogy. Lucas conveyed his ideas to designer Ralph McQuarrie, who memorialized them in concept sketches and production paintings. The costumes were realized for the film by the UK production crew, including costume designer John Mollo, sculptors Liz Moore and Brian Muir, and plastic-former Andrew Ainsworth. This lot consists of a white fiberglass replica designed to be posed as if ready to fire. The black resin E-11 blaster is primed and ready, held in black resin hands, and accessorized with a black leather holster. The piece is finished in gloss white and satin black paint with decals applied to the helmet to help bring it closer to the look of the stormtroopers seen on screen in the original trilogy. This stormtrooper comes mounted on a blue painted wooden base and includes a Sideshow assembly instruction sheet. Dimensions: 34" x 27" x 75" (86.5 cm x 68.75 cm x 109.5 cm) Special shipping required; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.
