A collection of copies of Millennium Falcon blueprints made for George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope and Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Designed by Joe Johnston, the Millennium Falcon is one of the most iconic starships in cinematic history, with a unique design and legendary crew. This lot consists of 17 rolled copies of blueprints depicting several interior and exterior aspects of the Falcon. The set was made from production originals from both A New Hope (in five cases) and Empire circa the 1990s for various publishing projects. Most feature a title key in the bottom right corner with information about the image, including the date created and the artists, which include Richard Dawking and Nilo Rodis-Jamero. The copies are stored rolled and exhibit wear from age and use, including minor tears and staining. Included is a copy of a letter from Stacy A Mollema, a merchandising assistant, to Julie Targos of Nonpareil Communications, Inc, which accompanied 12 of the copies when they were supplied as reference materials in October 1993.Type of Print
