Description

Star Wars ROTJ Pencils, Erasers, & Wallet Lot of 19 (Butterfly Originals, 1983). This expansive lot of Return of the Jedi products by Butterfly Originals captures a wonderfully niche slice of 1983-era Star Wars merchandising, showcasing how deeply the franchise penetrated school supplies and everyday childhood gear. With items ranging from carded pens and pop-a-point pencils to themed erasers, wallets, and pencil bags, this collection is both highly nostalgic and increasingly scarce in quantity and presentation. Included are six carded two-packs of blue ink ball pens, each featuring ROTJ-themed graphics and card art with an Emperor's Royal Guard. All cards show heavy edge, corner, and surface wear from storage, including veining, creasing, scuffing, and small surface tears. The bubbles have sticker residue, scuffing, and minor dents on some corners. Also included are seven carded two-packs of ROTJ "Pop-A-Point" mechanical pencils with red casings, each paired with an eraser. The cards feature Darth Vader artwork and display moderate to heavy wear, with yellowing bubbles and surface stress consistent with age. Three ROTJ four-pack pencil sets are present as well, each with unique character themes including Darth Vader, C-3PO, and a multi-character mix. All are complete with their original cellophane, hanger tabs, and insert cards, though the hanger tabs show bending and edge wear. Rounding out the lot is a shaped Wicket the Ewok eraser still on its original card, which is beginning to bend vertically around the bubble. The bubble has minor dings but remains intact and crack-free. Also included are two soft goods pieces: a blue plastic child's wallet featuring R2-D2 and C-3PO, which shows moderate scuffing but appears unused, and a factory-sealed ROTJ pencil bag featuring vibrant artwork of Luke and Vader's final duel aboard the Death Star II. Altogether, this is a rich and varied assortment of rarely preserved Star Wars ephemera-perfect for collectors of school-era merchandise, vintage stationery, or off-the-beaten-path ROTJ collectibles that reflect the full cultural saturation of Star Wars in the early 1980s.
