CAFH83Description
Star Wars ROTJ Rancor Keeper 77-Back A, AFA Y-80 ** POP 4, Highest Grade ** (Kenner, 1984). Though he only had moments of screen time in Return of the Jedi, the Rancor Keeper-Malakili-became a figure of surprising depth and memorability, forever tied to the tragic bond with Jabba's monstrous pet. Kenner's 1984 release captured the character's distinctive look with a bald head sculpt, leather head covering, and grim expression, making him a standout in the ROTJ wave dedicated to Jabba's palace denizens. This example comes sealed on a 77-Back A card with the "Free Coin" promo sticker still proudly intact on the front-a short-run offer that helps distinguish earlier card backs from later POTF versions. Graded AFA 80 Y-NM, with subgrades of C80 B85 F80, this figure is one of just four to reach this top tier in the population report, with none graded higher. Well-preserved ROTJ character figures with offer stickers and clean presentation are becoming increasingly difficult to source, and this high-grade Rancor Keeper is both a variant win and an emotional touchstone for any collector curating the deeper lore of Jabba's court. A subtle but essential figure-ready to stand guard in any elite ROTJ lineup.Use
