Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith (2005) Red Bamboo Training LightsaberEntry/Object ID
OPPS190Description
A red bamboo training lightsaber from George Lucas' Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Jedi Knights like Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Sith Lords such as Emperor Sheev Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) wielded their personalized lightsabers throughout the Star Wars film saga. Lightweight bamboo versions with minimal detail were created for safe combat training between the actors and lightsaber choreographer Nick Gillard. This bamboo lightsaber is painted red, wrapped in a clear shrink-wrapped plastic sleeve, and affixed with a metal handgrip. It exhibits some punctures to its sleeve, chips to the paint from combat, and remnants of green paint on the metal believed to be from testing against a greenscreen.
