CAFH109Description
Star Wars ESB Death Squad Commander 21-Back AFA 80 (Kenner, 1980). Originally introduced in 1978 as part of Kenner's Star Wars debut lineup, the Death Squad Commander returned for a brief encore in 1980 on the early Empire Strikes Back 21-Back card-a transitional release that bridged A New Hope character molds with new ESB branding. Known for his black helmet and stoic uniform, this figure brought a sense of authority to Imperial ranks and remained a staple among troop builders. Graded AFA 80 NM, with subgrades of C75 B80 F80. According to AFA population reports, only eight examples have graded higher, making this a highly desirable specimen for collectors seeking top-tier early ESB releases. A sharp, display-worthy piece that bridges the original 12 with the galaxy-expanding power of The Empire Strikes Back.Use
