Description

Star Wars ESB Imperial Commander 45-Back A AFA 75+ (Kenner, 1981). Introduced in 1981 during the Empire Strikes Back line, the Imperial Commander brought rank-and-file menace to Kenner's Imperial ranks. Clad in his crisp black uniform and officer's cap, this figure represented the stoic command presence behind Vader's legions-an essential addition to any diorama of Death Star briefings or Star Destroyer strategy sessions. Graded AFA 75+ EX+/NM with subgrades of C75 B85 F85, this 45-Back A example is a POP 1 figure with only nine known to grade higher, making it a scarce and desirable carded version for collectors pursuing condition rarity or cardback variation runs. Often overlooked in favor of flashier villains, the Imperial Commander remains a key figure in rounding out the original trilogy's military hierarchy-especially in early ESB packaging.
