Star Wars: The Jedi Adventure Center Framed Design Artwork W/Transparencies, EtcEntry/Object ID
AWJ16Description
Three framed original pieces of design artwork for "The Jedi Adventure Center" with additional design ephemera.
"The Jedi Adventure Center" was a promotional experience that appeared in 130 malls across the Untied States in an effort to promote the release of Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (20th Century Fox, 1983). Each Center was comprised of modular walk-through displays and featured three separate activity areas: a Jedi Hall of Fame, a Photo Center, and a Communication Center. At the time, it was the most ambitious movie promotion Fox had ever staged at shopping venues.
The framed pieces in the lot contain original hand-drawn designs for the walk through displays in the Centers, with the artwork for each relating to one of the films in the original trilogy. Also included is an original onion paper sketch of the design for the Return of the Jedi display realized in graphite, 17 transparencies of the photographic art that would appear on the displays, a title card design sheet, an original color palette board with three color photo copies of the palette with Kodak Color Control Patches comparisons.Type of Print
