Terminator 2: Judgment Day: Lucas Francis Studio Full-Size Motorised T-800 Endoskeleton Replica DisplayEntry/Object ID
OPPS92Description
A full-size motorised T-800 Terminator endoskeleton replica from James Cameron's sci-fi action sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day, created by Lucas Francis Studio. In the film's classic opening sequence, the Human Resistance battled against an onslaught of endoskeletons in Los Angeles, 2029.
Renowned for its groundbreaking visual effects, Terminator 2 combined both practical and newly pioneered digital effects to set a new standard for action blockbusters. It garnered four Academy Awards, including Best Visual Effects, and is considered one of the best science fiction, action or sequel films ever made. The United States Library of Congress selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry in 2023.
This lot is primarily made of artificial stone, fibreglass and metal. It comprises a 1:1 scale endoskeleton which stands over six feet tall and is intentionally distressed with blaster marks, plus a wooden display base that resembles broken concrete, with a human skull being stepped on by the endoskeleton's foot. It was created by Lucas Francis Studio in collaboration with the Hollywood Collector's Gallery, and was molded from original endoskeleton parts. Unique to this figure, the eyes glow red and the base lights the endoskeleton from below via an external power cord, while a motion sensor on the base, when activated, also illuminates the eyes and turns the head from side to side. The forearms and chest are poseable. A plaque on the base reads "T2 Terminator 2 Judgment Day Endoskeleton Lucas Francis Studio Hollywood Collector's Gallery". Dimensions: 70 cm x 78 cm x 202 cm (27.5" x 30.75" x 79.5")
