Dolores and Carmelita (Romero) Topping at their home in Madera County. Dolores' parents came to Madera County (then Fresno County) in 1888 and settled in the Hildreth area. Carmelita was the daughter of Bart and Jane (Lewis) Romero and was born and raised near Fine Gold in Madera County. Her parents were Tom and Mary (Blackhawk) Lewis, with Mary being a Chowchilla Yokuts Indian.Photograph Details
