Dolores (Topping) Brown was the ydaughter of Dolores and Carmelita Topping, Chowchilla Yokuts, of Madera County. In an interview with Dolores (Spring 2015), she shared that when she was a young girl, she would enter the Hildreth Rodeo and when she was 17 years old, she won the Queen Contest there. She met Duncan at the Bass Lake Rodeo and they were married when she was 18. Duncan was from Clovis, Fresno County and was a Bareback Rider who won the Reno Rodeo in 1948 and was 2nd in the RCA for Bareback Riding. Duncan and Dolores lived in Fresno County for the rest of their marriage owning a business and raising their son, Jerry Brown.Photograph Details
