Dolores Topping and his horse Brownie, ca. 1960. Back of photo reads "Brownie was one of the last from the herd of wild horses to be caught off of Kennedy Table, where the Topping Ranch is located. He made an excellent mountain and cow horse, never needing shoes. Brownie worked his entire life in the High Sierras and on the Topping Ranch where he died at the age of 36 years.
