Rebecca and Johannes fled Turkey with their five children and ended up in Cairo, Egypt. Penniless and sick, they discovered it cost $100.00 per person to travel to the United States so they stayed in Egypt working to save money for their fares to the United States. After arriving in Fresno, they lived on Estes Street, where Community Regional Medical Center is located now in Fresno, California.Photograph Details
