This copy of "The International Jew: The World's Foremost Problem" is the first volume of booklets from a 4-volume set featuring antisemitic articles written and published in the Dearborn Independent, owned by Henry Ford, from May 22nd-October 2nd, 1920. The original print run of the first edition was estimated to be between 200,000 and 500,000 copies. Three additional volumes were published over the next 18 months. This example of antisemitic rhetoric was translated into German and embraced by leaders of Germany's fledgling Nazi party.

Distributed nationally through his car dealerships, Ford's paper reached 700,000 people at its peak. The booklet was sent free to libraries across the country, and a translated version was embraced by leaders of Germany's flendgling Nazi Party.
