Purchased by James Lyall in 1946 for $1800.00; and was run by John & Roy Lyall until 1969. Owners kept track of acreage up to 6000, but threshed quite a bit after that. This was the first combine in the immediate area, so the owners were able to do quite a bit of custom work. The first year they owned the machine, they made $750 in custom work; also, they got a patronage refund of $200. The machine would still thresh if required, but was placed in the Museum for several reasons: the disadvantage of left hand table, non-availability of parts, and the owners' larger acreage.Collection
