in 1903, T. B. Mitchell purchased the Virden Machine Shop, and in 1906 purchased a second-hand, single cylinder Oldsmobile auto. Shown with T. B. Mitchell at the wheel is his passenger Harry Crowe, owner of a second car, a single cylinder Reo Runabout. This photo was used by Mitchel as a Calendar in 1907 and the Premises became known as Mitchel's Garage and therefore the first garage in Virden.Cataloged By
