Scope and Content

American Banner Lines was the last venture of shipping magnate Arthur Bernstein. He set up the company in 1957, in order to cater to middle-class tourists seeking affordable, comfortable passage to Europe. His idea was sound, but his timing (at the dawn of the Jet Age) was unfortunate. The company suspended service in 1959 and became inactive in 1960. The series consists of a single folder: Folder 1 - Brochures K0001.004.001
