The Sacramento (California) River Steamers (Sisters) Apache & Modoc were Built in 1880. The First finished was the modoc & her first master was Capt. Enos Fouratt. Capt Enos Fooratt's son Enos JR. was also a river captain, as were his grandsons Enos111 and George.
Capt. Enos Forate 111 was master of the Apache when his Brother, Capt. GEorge Fouratt, was Master of the Modoc Both Men left to become Masters of the Southern Pacific Co's. San Francisco Bay Ferries.
The Apache Was dismantled in 1928 and the Modog Abandoned the same year.Collection
