Castle built in 400's
Castel dell'Ovo, was built by the Normans in the 12th century and is Naples' oldest castle. Nicknamed 'Castle of the Egg' because of a Roman scribe who repeatedly buried an egg on the site where the castle still stands. Warning that when the egg breaks, the castle and Naples will fall.Collection
