Scope and Content

This Folder Contains One Item: 1.Linea Espresso Passeggeri e Merci: Single page, folded, color undated, (circa 1960?) brochure advertising the D'Amico line to potential American passengers. Brochure is in Italian and provides a list of American travel agencies D'Amico cruies can be booked through. Ships "M/n Paolo d'Amico", "M/n Cesare d'Amico" and "M/n Maas" are advertised as sailing to ports of call in the Mediterranean, Venezuela, Colombia and the North Pacific. Back cover features a photo of M/n Paolo d'Amico underway. Color photos of modest cabins, a smoking room etc. shown. Cabin and deckplan show that only 20 cabins were available to passengers. Possibly indicates that vessels were dually utilized for passenger cruising and shipping. "M/n Cesare" and "M/n Paolo" appear to be named for the sons of the owner of d'Amico Societa di Navigazione. Cesare and Paolo currently have taken over the d'Amico family shipping business.
