This folder consists of six items:
1.South America via Delta Line from New Orleans: circa 1940, single-page folded bicolor brochure detailing sailing dates and itineraries for the period of August 16, 1940- September 11, 1941 for the vessels: USS Delbrasil, USS Deltargentino and USS Delorleans. Deck plans provided. Cover features blue and white map of ships' routes and locations of ports of call.
2.South America via Delta Line to Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay: Undated, (circa late 1940's) single page, folded part-color brochure. Features sepia photos of accommodations and "3 dimensional" - style deckplan drawings. Stylized South American motifs decorate editorial textual material. Centerfold features illustration of ornate globe, shown centered on South America. Text surrounding image details the itinerary of a 46-day cruise offered aboard each of the Del Sud, Del Norte or Del Mar.
3.South America West Africa Delta Line Information, Sailing and Rate Schedule No. 4: single-page folded bicolor brochure dated Sept. 1 1950 provides rates and itineraries for 46 day South American cruises aboard devoted cruisers: Del Sud, Del Norte and Del Mar and for passenger freighter service to ports in West Africa aboard Del Oro, Del Rio and Del Sol. Black and white photos depict accomodations, "3-D" style deckplan illustrations provided.
4. Resort at Sea: Undated, (circa early 1950's) multi-page folded color brochure. Features color photos of accommodations and editorial text describing the cruising experience from a passenger's point of view. Cover features color aerial photo of one of the line's ships underway.
5. Delta Line Cruises to Brazil and Uruguay, Argentina- Undated, (probably circa 1955) multi-page color brochure features informational blurbs about each of the South American ports of call for the Del Sud, Del Norte and Del Mar. Color photos depict onboard activities and amenities.
6.Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Delta Lines: Color multi-page booklet. Undated, but probably from ca. 1955. Promotional booklet. Cover features print of stylized water-color depiction of various ports of call. Editorial Content throughout. Color and black and white photos depict onboard activities, accommodations and ports of call. Some full-page black and white photos of ports of call.Collection
