Engineer's Log Book. Includes notes for the steamers Berkeley, San Leandro and Eureka. Initial pages detail, in column format, the date, crew number and time of various drills aboard the craft. Each captain signed on the date for which they were responsible. A second section of the book list passenger totals for each day, with a running total for the month. The third section details date and results of various inspections conducted on the vessels. Individual sheets are inserted in the book with passenger counts.
