Scope and Content

This folder consists of four items: 1.Greek Line TSS New York: Undated, single, folded-page primary color brochure. Undated but ca. mid 1960s. Provides pop-art illustrations of shipboard life, sample menu, information about cuisine aboard, and photos depiciting the ship's ammennities and accommodations. 2.TSS New York 17,000 Tons, Greek Line Passenger Service: single, folded letter-sized black and white page. Folded to very small 1/6 page size brochure. Undated but ca. late 1950s photos of ammennities and small cartoon depicting passengers embarking frustrated and unhappy, and disembarking happy and relaxed. 3. To Europe TSS New York from New York and Boston to Cobh, Eire- Cherbourg, France- Southampton, England- Bremerhaven, Germany: Single folded- page, bicolor brochure dated 1955. Provides very brief descriptions of ports of call and provides photos of ammennities and accommodations aboard the TSS New York. Text lists place-names of ports in their respective languages of origin, ex: Eire, Deutschland, perhaps in an effort to appeal to expats from these countries living in the US. 4.Greek Line TSS New York Passenger Accommodation Plan Edition January 1956: Single, folded chart-sized page, dated 1956. Provides deck plans for the TSS New York
