This folder consists of eight items:
1. Plan- SS Statendam, First Class: Multi-page stapled and folded brochure dated April 1964. Deck plans for Statendam and plan of first class accommodations. Features b&w photos of ship underway.
2.SS Statendam Cruise Plan. Multi-page stapled and folded brochure dated March 1966. Duplicate of item #1 of this folder, with different cover.
3. Facts and Figures, SS Statendam: Multi-page stapled booklet, undated, but ca. 1950s. Details physical specifications of the ship, and information such as its launch date, (1856.) Frontispiece advertises inaugural cruises in 1957.
4.Europe to California, through the Panama Canal, SS Statendam: Single page, folded. Color, dated Feb. 1964. Provides basic information about Fall 1964 cruises from Europe, (Netherlands) to California aboard the SS Statendam. Color photos emphasize ship's "party atmosphere".
5.Preliminary Accommodation Plan, First and Tourist Class, SS Statendam: Multi-page stapled, bicolor booklet/brochure dated Aug. 1956. Deck plans for the Statendam. Some black and white photos provided, depict accommodations. Line drawings of shipboard subjects throughout.
6.New SS Statendam, Inaugural Program of Three De Luxe South America and West Indies Cruises, Winter/Spring, 1957: Single, folded tricolor page. Provides general information for three 11-14 day South American/West Indies Cruises aboard the SS Statendam for the 1957 Winter/Spring season. Black and white photos of shipboard life. Simple map of ports provided, as well as itineraries, dates of sailing, rates of fare and general information.
7. The World-Cruise -De Lude, of '58, by the Splendied new Completely Air-Conditioned Statendam, Sailing from New York, January 7, 1958: Single, folded page booklet, dated 1957. Provides general overview of 110 day 'round the world cruise by the Statendam, (its first). Port information, rates of fare, itinerary and general information provided.
8. The World-Cruise De Luxe of "58, A Supreme 110-Day Global Travel Adventure, by the Splended New SS Statendam, January 7, 1958: Multi-page, stapled booklet, color, dated 1957. Differently-formatted duplicate of item #7 of this folder.Collection
