Scope and Content

1. Australia, Oceania, Neptunia- Italy-Australia Line: Multi-page stapled booklet. Color cover, dated 1951. Photo viewbook of vessel class including SS Australia, SS Oceania and SS Neptunia. Small, black and white photos depict ships' interiors. Back page provides overview of passenger/freighter routes travelled and offered, and gross tonnage of specific vessels. 2.The Ship's Cuisine, Lloyd Triestino: Multi-page, stapled, part-color booklet. Dated Oct. 1953. Focuses on food and beverage offered aboard, and the cruise dining experience. Provides sample menus, photos of passengers dining, etc. 3. Lloyd Triestino SS "G. Galilei": Single, folded, chart-sized page, dated May 1962. Deck plans for the SS G. Galilei 4. Italy, India, Pakistan, Far East, Fast Service: Single, folded page, color brochure. Undated, ca. mid to late 1950s. Features photos of ship's interiors for vessels SS Victoria, and SS Asia. Features small photos of ports traveled to/from as well. Notably, brochure features a photo of a group of Sikh passengers, and depicts them only as such, passengers. Brochure does not try to tie them to any specific places/ ports, as has been done elsewhere in cruise advertising. 5."G. Galilei" "G. Marconi", Italy Australia Express Service: Multi-page stapled color booklet. Dated Jan. 1962. Features photos and illustrations of ships' interiors. Very modernist style art and graphics inside brochure, while front cover art recalls 1930s-40s style of cruise brochure illustration. 6.Lloyd Triestino Line MV Africa, MV Europa, Italy-South Africa Fast Service: Single, triple-folded page. Bicolor brochure dated 1955. Simple pictorial "sampler" of photos of ships' interiors for the MV Africa and the MV Europa. No actual cruise information supplied.
