SS Lurline cabin table
Built in 1933 for Matson Line’s US West Coast to
Hawaii service, the Lurline was one of the most
famous Pacific liners, transporting everyone from Ronald
Reagan to Elvis Presley in high style. After serving as a
troop ship World War II, she was refitted in 1948 with new
post-war Hawaiian-themed decor. In 1963, she was sold to
Chandris Lines and renamed Ellinis and finally retired in
1980 before being scrapped in 1986.
