This series consists of one folder:
Munson Steamship Lines was founded, as a freighter line operating between New York and Havana, in 1899 by Walter D. Munson of New York. The company began offering passenger service in 1919, between New York and Caribbean and South American ports. The line found itself in the posession of several formerly-requisitioned vessels at the close of WWI, and was forced by to resign these vessels to their European, original owners. The economic hardship of the Depression caused the line to become financially unstable, and consequently the company dissolved in 1937.Collection
