Press photo may 1930 Harold Vanderbilt, ENTERPRISE Lipton Cup Eemen Underwood & Bent Underwood Photographers Producer of stereographs Lipton Cup races in San Diego. In 1902, the San Diego Yacht Club (SDYC) asked Sir Thomas Lipton if they could name a Cup in his honor. He granted this request and gifted SDYC a trophy and participated in the Sir Thomas Lipton Challenge Cup. In 1930, Harold Vanderbilt competed in the Challege Cup against Sir Thomas who was 80 years old at the time. Vanderbilt won the race .
