Series II - Harbor Log Books includes original San Diego Harbor logs associated with the barkentine Star of India that describe the efforts to restore and preserve the vessel.
The logs include a list of volunteers, workers and crew onboard the Star of India and identifies them by occupation, address and employment status.
Detailed entries include names of advisors, visitors, local journalists and reporters aboard the Star of India, names of individuals, companies and organizations doing the restoration work, supplying materials and equipment, details about the disassembly, identification, repair and/or replacement of specific parts of the vessel, donations of tools and equipment, general crew and volunteer duties, shipboard incidents and gatherings, descriptions of various meetings to promote the restoration project and daily weather conditions, dated 1959 and 1961-1967 and consists of the following items shown below:
