Scope and Content

A very large collection of menus, daily programs, souvenirs, passenger lists, a letter from the captain, a notice of dock times, a few ads for other cruises, two luggage tags, and a song list from the captain's champagne party. All of these together show the detail, care, and experience one would have had on a Matson Line cruise to Hawai'i, Fiji, and New Zealand. The cruise appears to have been completely immersive in what was understood as those cultures at the time.
