Scope and Content

This series consists of nine folders: The United States Lines operated a passenger and cargo shipping fleet from 1921 to 1969. The line was co-founded by Kermit Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt's son. United States Lines offered transatlantic sailings from New York . In WWII, its fleet was used to transport troops. The line dissolved, officially, in 1992.
