Port side view of the Block Island at anchor using port anchor, gangway rigged after quarter, whale boat along side amidship, flying Union Jack from bow staff, signal pennant on starboard yard arm, full flight deck of planes, launched 10 June 1944, received 2 battle stars for WWII operations, designated AKV-38 on 7 May 1959, struck from Navy List 1 July 1959, scrapped 1960.
