Starboard side view of the Langley (CV-1)(AV-3), built as the Jupiter (AC-3) - a collier- , launched 24 August 1912, the first ship using electric propulsion - renamed Langley 11 April 1920 and commissioned as CV-1 on 20 March 1922, designated AV-3 on 21 April 1l37, struck from Navy List on 8 May 1942. Photo damaged and removed from file.
