Photobook Title:"1949 Glidden Tour" The 1949 Glidden Tour tour started in Gettysburg (PA) and traveled through Luray, Richmond, and Williamsburg (VA), and Annapolis (MD), before ending in Wilmington (DE) with the final banquet in the Hotel du Pont’s Gold Ballroom. George Hughes Sr. was chairman of the tour, and Tom Marshall was in charge of hotel reservations. Tom Marshall entered with his 1914 Stanley Model 607, and Clarence Marshall again entered his 1915 Stanley Mountain Wagon Model 820, always a crowd-pleaser. This photobook includes photos of 1915 Stanley Mountain Wagon Model 820, 1914 Stanley Model 607, 1916 Pierce Arrow Model 66, 1917 Indian Motorcycle, 1928 DuPont, 1914 Stanley Roadster, 1910 Ford Model T, 1911 Mitchell, 1911 Renault, 1912 White, 1909 Winton, 1910 American Underslung Briggs Cunningham, 1903 Oldsmobile and a 1909 Pierce Arrow.
