The 1949 Glidden Tour tour started in Gettysburg (PA) and traveled through Luray, Richmond, and Williamsburg (VA), and Annapolis (MD), before ending in Wilmington (DE) with the final banquet in the Hotel du Pont’s Gold Ballroom. George Hughes Sr. was chairman of the tour, and Tom Marshall was in charge of hotel reservations. Tom Marshall entered with his 1914 Stanley Model 607, and Clarence Marshall again entered his 1915 Stanley Mountain Wagon Model 820, always a crowd-pleaser.
Tom added in 2013, "From right to left, 1915 Stanley Mountain Wagon, 1919 Stanley Model 735 owned by L Edward Pamphilon and the 1914 Stanley Model 607.
