Apothecary jar and canopy lid made of white porcelain and decorated with bands of gilding around the jar lip and base and lid apex. Front of the jar is painted with snakes wrapping around two palm trees framing the words: "EXT: D'OPIUM.," a French abbreviation translating to "opium extract."
