Context

Powers-Weightman-Rosengarten Co. operated from Dec 22, 1904 until 1927 at Ninth and Parrish Streets in Philadelphia. The Powers-Weightman Co. (est. 1818) and Rosengarten & Sons (est. 1822) were originally competing pharmaceutical manufacturers. However, after the death of one of the founders of Powers-Weightman in 1904, the two companies merged to become Powers-Weightman- Rosengarten Co. They had a general office at Ninth and Parrish Street and a manufacturing site in East Falls.
