CE 1908 Indian CentDescription
1908 CE Indian Head Cent
United States Mint
Bronze one-cent coins designed by Chief Engraver James B. Longacre. The obverse depicts Liberty wearing a feathered headdress, while the reverse features an oak wreath surrounding the denomination. Struck during the industrial expansion of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Indian Head cents became one of the most recognizable forms of everyday American currency before their replacement by the Lincoln cent in 1909.Create Date
